Hiking in the Ecuadorian highlands is the
perfect way to experience the beautiful scenery of the numerous
mountains and valleys of the Andes. Our trekking programs lead
to enchanting peaks, deep-blue lakes and the isolated páramo.
Trekking in Ecuador means not only enjoying
the nature but also learning about the culture of the country;
you will pass remote indigenous communities and visit ancient
Incan ruins. The programs we offer are all altitude trekking (average
between 3000 and 4500 m.), and therefore they are also an excellent
way to acclimatize before climbing one of Ecuador's major peaks.
On each trek we hike every day for about
4 - 6 hours and then make a camp to spend the night. We have horses
or mules to carry the equipment, so all you need to carry is a
daypack. All trekking programs require good physical health.
